Ingredients:
2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
¾ cup warm water
2 tablespoons cooking oil or melted butter (optional)
Instructions:
1. Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt.
Gradually add warm water while kneading until you form a soft dough.
Add oil or butter for softer chapatis (optional).
Cover and let the dough rest for 20-30 minutes.
2. Roll the Chapati
Divide the dough into small equal balls.
Roll each ball on a floured surface into a thin round shape.
3. Cook the Chapati
Heat a non-stick pan or skillet over medium heat.
Place the rolled chapati on the hot pan.
Cook for about 1 minute until bubbles form.
Flip and cook the other side for another minute.
Press gently with a spatula to help it puff.
Remove and brush with oil or butter (optional).
4. Serve & Enjoy!
Serve hot with your favorite stew, curry, or tea.

Use warm water for softer chapatis.
Resting the dough helps gluten develop.
Roll evenly for even cooking.
